Shahrokh Company specializes in a captivating rug collection known as calligraphy rugs. These rugs showcase Quranic ayahs, which are verses from the Quran. As Arabic is the language of the Quran, the ayahs are written in Arabic script and follow the right-to-left grammar of the Arabic language.

To ensure efficiency and productivity, Shahrokh Company utilizes face-to-face carpet weaving machines. These machines simultaneously produce two rugs with identical designs. However, a unique challenge arises due to the nature of the calligraphy rugs. For instance, when weaving the design inspired by the Kaaba Curtains, the sentences that should be woven from right to left are instead woven from left to right on one rug of each pair. This issue is unavoidable, and it results in customers receiving two carpets, only one of which is usable. Consequently, the price of a rug featuring calligraphy designs, such as the Kaaba Curtains or any other calligraphy motifs, is twice as expensive as a rug with non-calligraphic designs.

In essence, while customers are required to pay for both rugs in a pair, only one rug can be used effectively. This distinction arises from the intricate weaving process necessary to create calligraphy rugs and the inherent challenges associated with their production. As a result, Shahrokh Company prices these unique creations at a premium compared to rugs featuring other designs that do not incorporate written elements.
